November 15, 2025, Halle Münsterland, Münster

The United Nations has proclaimed 2025 the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ). Under the motto “Quantum 2025 – 100 years are just the beginning…”, the German Physical Society (DPG) is organizing various events throughout Germany in the “Quantum Year” (https://www.quantum2025.de/).

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, the DPG closing event of the quantum year will take place in the Halle Münsterland – with lectures (including by Prof. Markus Arndt, University of Vienna and many others), experimental workshops for schoolchildren and a trade exhibition with well-known representatives from industry and science (1:00 – 7:30 p.m.).

In the evening from 19:30, the program includes an audio-visual experience of music and quantum physics by composer Yannick Paget (Paris, Kyoto) with the music ensemble N’SO KYOTO in cooperation with Koji Hashimoto (Kyoto). The performance with over 200 musicians will take place in cooperation with the Münster student orchestra and school choirs from Münsterland. The evening will be presented by Jakob Beautemps.

The exhibition with contributions from teaching, science and industry is organized by EIN Quantum NRW. Are you interested in taking part in this exhibition (which only takes place every 100 years 😉 )? You are welcome. Simply get in touch with Markus Bau > Contact

Information on the program and other highlights will follow soon.
